Warehouse Cleaner - Now Hiring

The janitorial worker keeps facilities clean, safe, and orderly by performing a wide range of cleaning and custodial duties. This role focuses on maintaining floors, restrooms, common areas, and workspaces to ensure a sanitary environment for all occupants, using appropriate cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.

• Keep buildings clean and orderly by performing routine and deep cleaning tasks throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures, following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Perform basic cleaning of warehouse floors and common areas, ensuring they remain free of debris and hazards.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with approved procedures and safety guidelines.
• Dust and damp mop floors using proper techniques and approved cleaning solutions.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, including industrial and high-traffic areas, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Shampoo rugs and carpets as needed to remove stains, dirt, and spills.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish hard floors, ensuring surfaces are clean and presentable.
• Wash walls, windows, glass, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to maintain a neat and sanitary environment.
• Sanitize all assigned surfaces, following the eight-step cleaning procedure and infection control standards.
• Move equipment and furniture to allow for proper cleaning, then return items to their correct placement.
• Seek out areas that require cleaning or attention and take initiative to complete tasks without constant direction.
• Complete all tasks and special projects assigned by the supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform all duties in accordance with applicable federal, state, and county guidelines and safety regulations.
• Follow industrial safety practices while working in a warehouse environment, including proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
• Contribute positively to the team by exhibiting professionalism, reliability, and respectful communication with customers, coworkers, and others on site.

• At least 6 months of basic janitorial experience, including cleaning restrooms, floors, and common areas.
• Hands-on experience with industrial or warehouse cleaning tasks.
• Ability to perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, and general housekeeping duties efficiently.
• Experience with basic janitorial tasks such as trash collection, surface sanitizing, and common area upkeep.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively, including floor care tools and carpet shampooers.
• Understanding of basic safety practices in an industrial or warehouse environment.
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures, including multi-step cleaning processes.
• Capability to move furniture and equipment safely to access areas for cleaning.
• Reliability in completing assigned tasks and following instructions from supervisors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

• Experience as a janitor, custodian, industrial cleaner, or housekeeper in a commercial or warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with infection control plans and sanitation standards.
• Comfort working independently and taking initiative to identify and complete cleaning tasks.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with staff, visitors, and coworkers.
• Ability to work different shifts, including early mornings and overnight hours, as scheduled.

This position is based in a newer, clean warehouse facility. The site operates with a team of custodial and support staff and follows structured cleaning and safety procedures. Work involves moving throughout the building, including restrooms, warehouse floors, and common areas, and using standard janitorial tools and equipment such as mops, brooms, floor machines, and carpet shampooers. The role includes standing, walking, bending, and lifting as part of daily tasks. Steel-toe footwear is required for safety in the industrial environment. Available schedules include weekday daytime shifts (Monday through Thursday, approximately 6:00/7:00 a.m. to 4:30/5:30 p.m.) and overnight shifts (Thursday through Saturday, approximately 6:00/7:00 p.m. to 4:30/5:30 a.m.), depending on assignment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA.

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.00/hr.
