Laboratory Technician

" Following established procedures to setup, fill and test various microplates
" Analyze large datasets using Excel and other advanced data analysis software
" Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities

The essential requirements of the job include:
" Have at least an AS degree in a Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering technology discipline (required)
" Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a technical, manufacturing or laboratory position
" Must be familiar with laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, micropipettes and analytical balance
" Proficiency in PC applications skills: MS Word, Excel, MS Access, Windows Explorer

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
" Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35lb (not usual)
" Ability to do repetitive work

It would be a plus if previous experience in:
" Prior work experience with automation, plate readers, liquid handling equipment (Beckman, Agilent, Hamilton)
" Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages (not required - this is a plus)
