Interim Emergency Department Manager - Tucson, AZ

LeaderStat is seeking an experienced Interim Emergency Department Manager for a 13-week leadership assignment in Tucson, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for an ED leader to step into a key operational role, support nursing teams, and drive quality patient care in a Level III Trauma Center.

Assignment Details

• Location: Tucson, AZ
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Target Start: November 2, 2026
• Schedule: Approximately 4 PM–midnight, 5 days per week
• Flexibility: 4x10-hour shifts may be considered
• Weekends: At least one weekend shift every other week
• Call: None
• EMR: Cerner
• Trauma Designation: Level III

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Emergency Department nursing operations and clinical staff.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and departmental performance.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and development for nursing teams.
• Collaborate with physicians, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary departments.
• Maintain operational efficiency and continuity throughout the interim assignment.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant clinical experience required.
• Previous nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong ED operations, staffing, and team management experience.
