Payroll Specialist

Lakeshore Talent is connecting with payroll professionals interested in being considered for future contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire opportunities. We welcome candidates with experience ranging from payroll support to payroll management.

Location: Greater Denver Metro Area

Average Pay: $25 - 32/hr, depending on experience

Typical Responsibilities May Include:

• Process weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, or monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Review timekeeping records, resolve discrepancies, and verify employee information.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and payroll adjustments.
• Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes within payroll systems.
• Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and payroll records.
• Reconcile payroll reports and support accounting, audit, and reporting needs.
• Assist with payroll tax reporting, garnishments, benefits deductions, and year-end processing.
• Maintain confidential records and support compliance with applicable payroll requirements.

Backgrounds We’re Interested In:

• Previous experience in payroll processing, administration, analysis, or management.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to meet deadlines and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, UKG, Paylocity, Paycom, Workday, or similar systems.
• Microsoft Excel skills.
• Multistate payroll experience and payroll certifications may be helpful for certain opportunities.
