Communication Skills

· Meet and greet patients in a professional manner and provide efficient patient care in a busy Neurology office

· Respond to patient phone calls/emails appropriately and in a timely manner

Clinical Skills

· Examine patients and serve as patient’s principal healthcare provider

· Review patients’ medical history and enter in the EMR

· Order & interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, DTI, x-rays, labs, EMG, EEG, VEEG, Sleep Studies, Neurotrax, WAVI, Ultra Sounds etc.

· Evaluate and diagnose patient illnesses and formulate a treatment plan

· Prescribe medications, administer injections, maintain logs, and follow up on patient care

· Work diligently under the supervision of the doctor

· Counsel patients effectively on preventive care and record accurately in the EMR

· Perform basic neurological screening on patients daily and maintain precise documentation in the EMR to meet MIPS compliance

Administrative skills

· Teamwork - Coordinate efficiently between medical assistants, nurse, front office staff, physicians, and medical reps

· Data entry, EMR and multi-tasking skills

· Adherence to office policies, procedures, HIPAA regulations, PHI confidentiality in office as well as in external social networks

Technical Skills

· Knowledge of EMR - eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus

· Microsoft Office skills

Education

· PA-C (Master's degree required)

· Experience as PA a plus

Require 3 written recommendation letters from a professional work environment.
