Propane Service Technician

We are a family-owned L.P. gas service provider and due to our continued growth we are looking for highly skilled individuals to serve as Propane Service Technicians. You will provide our customers with expert service for their home appliances/new installations.

In this role, you will serve as the public face of our company as you make in-home service visits. Therefore, in addition to your technical expertise, you will also make use of your customer service talents. Responsibilities:

As a Propane Service Technician, you will make service calls to customer homes and provide them with expert troubleshooting and repair service to a variety of equipment. As you will be the main point of contact between the company and our customers, you will also maintain a professional and friendly image and serve as an advocate for the company.

Specific duties include:

• Set, repair and maintain tanks and cylinders, install first stage line, interior piping, conduct system tests, ready installation for inspection and perform basic outside leak repair.
• Maintain service vehicle by reviewing maintenance record and perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Operate service vehicle in accordance with Company and government regulations.
• Ensure that Company and Government safety, policy and regulatory standards are met and maintain zero preventable accidents. Maintain safety and compliance records.
• Afterhours emergency call outs.
• Communicate clearly and effectively to convey information to new and existing customers.
• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer service.
• Notify supervisor of any issues that might impact safety, customer satisfaction, productivity, and other established goals and standards.

Requirements:

As a Propane Service Technician, you will combine technical expertise with a personable and helpful personality. You must also be highly detail-oriented and focused with a flexible and adaptable nature. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a commitment to providing the best and most responsive customer service.

Specific qualifications include:

• • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have a valid CDL A or B with HazMat/Air Brake endorsements
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
  • Must be able to work independently while safely maintaining a high level of performance
  • Prior Propane experience is a MUST
