Hematology/Oncology Physician – Locum Tenens | Ketchikan, Alaska

$475/Hour | 5 Days per Month | No Formal Call | Premium Pay

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for an outstanding locum tenens opportunity in beautiful southeastern Alaska.

This assignment offers highly competitive compensation, a flexible monthly commitment, and the opportunity to practice independently in a community-focused oncology program.

Assignment Highlights

• Pay Ranking: Premium / Top-Tier Market Pay.

• Provider Compensation: $475/hour.

• Schedule: 5 consecutive days per month.

• Hours: 8 AM–5 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.

• No Formal Call: Remote inbox and patient management between onsite visits required.

• Patient Volume: Approximately 12–16 patients daily.

• Setting: Outpatient oncology in a critical access hospital.

• EMR: Epic.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient hematology and medical oncology care.

• Evaluate and manage adult and geriatric patients.

• Oversee chemotherapy and infusion services.

• Perform bone marrow biopsies.

• Independently manage the oncology clinic during scheduled coverage.

• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, and specialty referral teams.

• Provide remote clinical management, inbox coverage, and patient follow-up between onsite visits.
