A private residence in Lafayette, Louisiana, is seeking an experienced personal chef who also has the skills and willingness to coordinate and/or complete small home and grounds maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent culinary skills, be dependable and organized, and work professionally and discreetly in a private household.

Requirements:

  

Personal Chef

· Plan and prepare meals according to the household’s preferences and dietary needs.

· Purchase groceries and maintain kitchen and pantry supplies as needed.

· Prepare meals for household members and, when requested, guests or private gatherings.

· Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and follow appropriate food safety and sanitation practices.

House and Grounds Maintenance

· Perform small household maintenance projects and minor repairs within the candidate’s skills and experience.

· Assist with general upkeep of the home, outdoor areas, and grounds.

· Identify maintenance concerns and communicate when specialized or licensed contractors may be needed.

· Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications

· Professional cooking experience with strong culinary skills and the ability to prepare a variety of meals.

· Practical experience or demonstrated ability to complete small home and grounds maintenance tasks.

· Ability to work independently, manage responsibilities, and maintain the privacy of the household.

· Good communication, reliability, and attention to detail.

· Professional references will be required.

· Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check as part of the selection process.

Position Details
