Lexington, NE | Critical Access Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 weeks) | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend | No blocked scheduling | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, with flexibility to float to Med/Surg and serve in a Charge RN capacity as needed
• Function as a multifaceted clinician within a 25-bed critical access facility serving up to 350 ER patients per month
• Adapt to varying patient volumes and acuity levels, demonstrating competency across multiple care settings during a single assignment
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to facility dress code: solid navy scrubs preferred; solid color scrubs required
• Attend orientation, which is scheduled on Tuesdays only

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room, Med/Surg, and Charge RN roles
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• PALS (AHA) or ENPC certification
• TNCC certification
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification
• CPI certification
• SANE certification
• Experience working in a critical access or rural hospital setting
