Lexington, NE | Critical Access Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | Every Other Weekend | 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department of a critical access facility serving up to 350 ER patients per month
• Float between the Emergency Department, Med/Surg, and Charge RN roles as needed — flexibility across multiple care settings is essential
• Function as a multifaceted RN capable of handling diverse clinical duties within a small, 25-bed facility
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to facility scrub policy: solid navy preferred, or any solid color
• Attend orientation, which is scheduled on Tuesdays only

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Emergency Room, Med/Surg, and Charge RN roles
• Prior travel nursing experience is required — all candidates must have prior travel experience
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• PALS (AHA or ENPC) certification
• TNCC certification
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are eligible to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification
• CPI certification
• SANE certification
• Experience working in a critical access or small rural hospital setting
