Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location

Lexington, NE | Critical Access Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 weeks) | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend | No blocked scheduling

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department of a critical access facility serving up to 350 ER patients per month
• Float between ED, Med/Surg, and Charge RN roles as needed — flexibility across multiple care areas is required
• Serve in a Charge RN capacity when assigned
• Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation and charting
• Operate as a multifaceted clinician within a 25-bed facility, adapting to varied patient needs and staffing demands

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Nebraska
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room, Med/Surg, and Charge RN roles
• Prior travel nursing experience is required
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• PALS (AHA or ENPC) certification
• TNCC certification
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification
• CPI certification
• SANE certification
• Experience working in a critical access or small rural hospital environment
