Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Mayfield, KY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit serving patients of all ages across a 57-bed floor
• Manage a patient ratio of up to 1:6 with PCA assistance
• Utilize MediTech EHR for documentation and patient management
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including COPD, post-operative joint cases, and diabetic conditions
• Float to like units as needed
• Fulfill weekend and on-call requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid in the state of Kentucky
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• BLS certification required prior to start
• CPI / HWC / MAB certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MediTech EHR platform
• Background working with geriatric, adult, and pediatric patient populations
• Experience managing post-operative joint and diabetic patient populations
