Summary

Seeking experienced Short Arc Tackers for a shipyard in Lockport, LA. Candidates must have experience with short arc (GMAW) tack welding, fitting metal components, and working safely in a shipyard environment.

Must Haves

• Experience with short arc (GMAW) tack welding.

• Ability to produce clean, strong, and accurate tack welds.

• Ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand tools.

• Must be able to pass an onsite tacker test.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding shipyard environment.

• Reliable with a strong work ethic.

• Must be available to work night shift.

Preferred

• Previous shipyard or marine construction experience.

• Experience working with shipfitters and structural welders.

• Ability to read basic blueprints and fitting instructions.
