Job Summary

Cornerstone Caregiving Southwest Atlanta is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team in a flexible PRN capacity.

This position is ideal for an RN looking to supplement their current income, maintain a flexible schedule, or transition into a role focused on clinical oversight, caregiver development, and client assessments rather than traditional bedside nursing.

As our PRN Registered Nurse, you will play an essential role in maintaining high standards of care by overseeing client care plans, conducting in-home nursing assessments, and evaluating caregiver competency through hands-on skills assessments.

Our office specializes in non-medical, in-home care, helping seniors and individuals with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

This position requires approximately 8 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility based on client and caregiver needs.

Key Responsibilities Client Assessments & Care Planning
  • Conduct in-home RN assessments for new and existing clients to evaluate care needs, safety concerns, functional abilities, and appropriate caregiver support.

  • Review, develop, and provide clinical oversight of individualized client care plans.

  • Ensure care plans accurately reflect each client's needs, preferences, limitations, and required assistance.

  • Complete periodic reassessments and update care plans as client needs change.

  • Provide clinical guidance to office leadership regarding client safety, care needs, and appropriate service delivery.

  • Complete required nursing documentation accurately and promptly.

Client Assessments & Care Planning

  • Administer hands-on caregiver skills competency assessments and evaluations.

  • Evaluate caregiver proficiency in essential personal care tasks, safe transfers, mobility assistance, infection prevention, and other applicable caregiving skills.

  • Identify areas requiring additional training and provide practical instruction or recommendations.

  • Document caregiver competency assessments and maintain required training records.

  • Assist with caregiver orientations, training, and professional development as needed.

Client Assessments & Care Planning

  • Serve as a clinical resource for office leadership and caregivers.

  • Support compliance with applicable Georgia regulations and company policies.

  • Review care plans and documentation to help maintain quality and consistency of care.

  • Collaborate with the Operating Director and office team to address client care concerns and promote safe caregiving practices.

  • Provide additional nursing oversight and quality assurance support as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or a valid multistate license authorizing practice in Georgia.

  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Southwest Fulton, Douglas, Paulding, and Carroll Counties.

  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening.

  • Comfortable providing hands-on caregiver skills evaluations and instruction.

Preferred:

  • Experience in home health, home care, geriatrics, long-term care, or community-based nursing.

  • Previous experience conducting nursing assessments or developing individualized care plans.

  • Experience training, supervising, or evaluating caregivers, CNAs, or other direct care professionals.

  • Familiarity with Georgia's Private Home Care Provider requirements.

Benefits & Perks

  • Flexible PRN Scheduling: Approximately 8 hours per week, with opportunities to coordinate visits around your availability.

  • Competitive Compensation: Compensation based on experience and qualifications.

  • Weekly Pay

  • Independent Work Environment: Enjoy autonomy while receiving support from a dedicated local office team.

  • Meaningful Impact: Help ensure clients receive safe, personalized care while supporting the development of compassionate caregivers.

  • Supportive Team Culture: Join a growing office that values communication, collaboration, and quality care.
