Research Scientist II

Responsibilities:

• Analyze lipid nanoparticles encapsulating nucleic acids and LNP components using HPLC and Biolayer Interferometry (BLI) under the direction of Analytical scientists.
• Develop and optimize methods to characterize LNPs and constituent components.
• Correlate physiochemical characteristics of nanoparticle formulations with efficacy and safety outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of analytical data and methods.
• Collaborate and interface with cross-functional teams.
• Support basic lab operations including supply ordering, instrument calibration, and schedule maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated method development experience in gradient-elution HPLC modalities such as RP, IPRP, or AEX.
• Proficiency with MS Excel for data analysis and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with consistent data generation and clear communication of results.
• Effective teamwork, multitasking, and ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with BLI or Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR).
• Experience with LC-MS for characterization of LNP components.
• Familiarity with advanced analytical software such as GraphPad Prism or JMP.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
