Title: Site Superintendent – High End Residential

Location: Coconut Grove, Miami, FL

Currently seeking a Site Superintendent for a High End Residential GC in Miami. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience supervising high-end private homes as Superintendent for a General Contractor. Waterfront or marine construction experience (piers, seawalls, docks) is strongly preferred.

Our client is a high-end residential construction firm building private single-family homes for a discerning clientele in South Florida and New York.

The Role

You will run one waterfront estate project in Coconut Grove from start through a multi-phase scope. The first phase is a new pier and a full ground-floor fitout. The second phase, starting next summer, adds new structures, a fully new seawall and more interior fitout. The role combines marine construction, ground-up structure and high-end interior finishing on a single site.

Responsibilities

• Run the site day to day and be the main point of contact for everyone working on it
• Take the pier and ground-floor fitout through completion, then carry the summer phase of new structures, seawall and interiors
• Hold the schedule and resolve problems before they reach the critical path
• Read architectural and structural drawings and work through field conditions with architects and engineers
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and deliveries so trades stay sequenced and productive
• Enforce quality control to the standard a private client at this level expects
• Uphold site safety and regulatory compliance, including marine and waterfront requirements
• Coordinate inspections with city and county officials
• Prepare progress reports covering status, incidents and corrective action
• Represent the firm on site with the client and their representatives

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on high-end private homes in South Florida
• Ground-up capability. This is not a finishes-only role
• Waterfront or marine construction experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable running luxury interior fitout alongside structural work
• Strong command of means and methods, sequencing and Miami-Dade building codes
• Professional presence and communication skills to work directly with a discerning client
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• On site daily in Coconut Grove
