About the Role:
The Dog Stop in Pittsburgh is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Coordinator to be the first face our furry guests and their owners see! This is a fantastic opportunity for a pet lover who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and wants to combine their passion for animals with their people skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm, welcoming attitude upon arrival
- Manage appointment scheduling, reservations, and check-ins/check-outs for daycare, boarding, and grooming services
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Process payments and maintain accurate client records using pet care management software
- Communicate pet care updates and service recommendations to pet owners
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area
- Collaborate with pet care staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
- Prior customer service, receptionist, or front desk experience preferred
- Genuine love for dogs and comfort handling pets of all breeds and sizes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, scheduling software, and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy, energetic environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Experience in a pet care, veterinary, or animal services setting is a plus
