Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB Developer / CMDB Domain Expert
Location: Raleigh, NC or Phoenix, AZ (Location-Specific Requirement)
Pay Rate: $66/hr on W2
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Developer / Domain Expert with strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Service Management (ITSM), and Technology Asset Management.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience configuring and managing ServiceNow CMDB integrations with third-party tools, including Service Graph Connector, Tanium, JAMF, and SolarWinds, to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of configuration item (CI) data.

This position requires a technical expert capable of optimizing CMDB functionality, troubleshooting integrations, and improving configuration management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain ServiceNow CMDB solutions to support enterprise IT operations.
• Configure and manage CMDB integrations with Service Graph Connector, Tanium, JAMF, SolarWinds, and other third-party platforms.
• Ensure accurate discovery, identification, reconciliation, and synchronization of Configuration Items (CIs).
• Improve CMDB data quality, completeness, consistency, and overall health.
• Develop and maintain CI classes, attributes, relationships, and configuration management processes.
• Troubleshoot CMDB integration issues, data discrepancies, duplicate records, and synchronization failures.
• Support ServiceNow ITOM and ITSM processes by maintaining reliable configuration data.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, application, security, and asset management teams to ensure CMDB accuracy.
• Support Technology Asset Management processes and maintain accurate relationships between assets and configuration items.
• Identify opportunities to automate CMDB data collection, validation, and maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for CMDB configuration, integrations, and governance.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB development, configuration, administration, and integrations.
• Excellent understanding of Configuration Items (CIs), CI relationships, CMDB data models, and configuration management processes.
• Practical experience configuring and supporting ServiceNow Service Graph Connector integrations.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow CMDB with third-party technologies such as Tanium, JAMF, and SolarWinds.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITOM and ITSM modules.
• Understanding of Technology Asset Management and its dependency on accurate CMDB data.
• Experience improving CMDB data quality, accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex CMDB integration and configuration issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Knowledge of Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
• Familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CMDB Health dashboards.
• Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub, IntegrationHub ETL, REST APIs, and automated data ingestion.
• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or relevant ITOM certifications.
