Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the surgical services team in Mora, MN. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care across multiple perioperative areas, including the Operating Room (OR), Same‐Day Surgery (SDS), Post‐Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Endoscopy. The RN will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor outcomes, and ensure safe, high‐quality care throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care through patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Support patients across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Monitor physical and psychological conditions, responding to changes promptly
• Develop and update individualized patient care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments for coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on procedures, treatment plans, and recovery
• Follow infection prevention, sterilization, and disinfection protocols
• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and emergency procedures
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental performance
• Provide guidance and direction to support personnel when required

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current and active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification required within six months of hire
• 1–3 years of Operating Room experience preferred
• Surgical Technologist experience is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and patient‐care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary surgical environment
