About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Developer to join our dynamic team. What You'll Do

• Actively contribute as a member of a Scrum team, writing high-quality, testable, and efficient Java code.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications and uphold best development practices.
• Participate fully in all agile ceremonies, maintaining clear and accurate tracking of all work.
• Practice and enforce strong engineering principles and ensure compliance with company engineering standards.
• Prepare and release software components, taking ownership from development to deployment.
• Support continuous improvements by investigating alternative technologies and presenting them for architectural review.
• Develop detailed documentation and assistance tools to support users effectively.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and profile Java applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design for functional and non-functional qualities, including availability, resiliency, security, performance, and privacy.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a software development role, actively writing and reviewing Java code.
• 5+ years of experience with relational databases, ideally Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
• 5+ years of experience writing unit and integration tests, with familiarity in at least one testing framework (JUnit, Mockito preferred).
• 3+ years of experience using Spring/Spring Boot for enterprise application development.
• 3+ years of experience developing robust RESTful services.
• 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or CircleCI.
• 2+ years of experience with any cloud platform (e.g., PCF, GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Proven experience troubleshooting, debugging, and profiling Java applications.
• Proficiency with Atlassian tool suites, including Bitbucket, Bamboo, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-resolution skills.
• A solid understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies.
• Strong ability to design for functional and non-functional qualities, including availability, resiliency, security, performance, and privacy.
• Extensive experience with Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience converting SOAP services to RESTful services.
• Experience with Spring Batch and/or batch processing.
• Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD) practices.
