Job Title:  Senior Electronics Engineering Technician

Type of Role: Direct Hire

Shift / Hours:  Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Location: Fremont, CA

Salary Range: $35.00 to $42.00

Role and Responsibilities:

• Advanced PCB Troubleshooting: Independently diagnose and isolate faults, short circuits, and power rail failures on complex multi-layer PCBs down to the component level.
• Precision Micro-Rework: Perform high-quality manual soldering, de-soldering, and surface-mount technology (SMT) rework under a microscope—including ultra-fine-pitch components (0402, 0201, QFNs, and BGAs).
• Lab Instrument Proficiency: Expertly operate digital oscilloscopes, multimeters, hot-air rework stations, adjustable DC power supplies, and function generators.
• Schematic Reading: Read and interpret electronic schematics, circuit layouts, wiring diagrams, and engineering blueprints to trace faults and build initial prototype hardware.
• Documentation: Keep detailed logs of hardware modifications, failure analysis results, and lab inventory.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in electronics troubleshooting, hardware validation, or advanced failure analysis.
• Experience in a fast-paced server hardware or computing infrastructure environment is highly valued.
• Technical Mastery: Proven capability to find a short circuit on a dead board using a multimeter and schematic, rather than relying on automated pass/fail testing scripts.
• Precision Skills: Exceptional manual dexterity with fine-pitch soldering irons and hot-air tools. Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 standards is a major plus.
• Autonomy: A self-starter who can manage a lab workbench independently and safely manage power tools and mechanical assembly.
• Educational Backgrounds / Experience Required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
