Why Join Century Builders Mission Critical

Century Builders Mission Critical is a industry leader specializing in complex, campus-scale data centers and industrial infrastructure. We pride ourselves on delivering speed-to-market execution, uncompromising safety, and enduring quality for our hyperscale and enterprise clients. Joining our team means becoming part of a culture built on craftsmanship, field-first leadership, and long-term career growth.

Century Builders Mission Critical is seeking a seasoned Senior Superintendent to oversee field operations for a multi-year, campus-scale data center construction project in Silverton, TX.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring all assigned scopes of work are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in strict compliance with hyperscale/colocation design specifications and quality standards. The role demands strong field leadership in managing trade partners and subcontractors, directing a crew of 7–10 internal team members, coordinating long-lead material deliveries, and maintaining rigorous, fast-tracked project schedules.

This is a long-term leadership position with Century Builders Mission Critical. The initial project in Silverton is expected to span 2 years, with potential site extensions to 4+ years. Upon completion, the Senior Superintendent will have the opportunity to transition into additional large-scale mission-critical projects across the company’s portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Field Leadership

  • Lead all daily on-site construction activities in Silverton, TX, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
  • Develop, implement, and manage weekly work plans and 4-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Monitor critical-path schedule milestones and budgets, issuing corrective actions as needed to maintain project alignment and target energization/turnover dates.
  • Direct internal team members (crew of 7–10) and manage multi-trade subcontractor teams across earthwork, structural, envelope, MEP, and critical utility scopes.
  • Oversee and enforce strict adherence to contract drawings, specifications, submittals, and owner requirement matrices.
  • Provide clear, decisive leadership and communication between project management, trade partners, engineering teams, quality managers, and field crews.

Technical Oversight & Infrastructure Coordination

  • Supervise installation, erection, and performance across core structural and civil disciplines:
    • Large-scale earthwork, mass grading, and site civil development.
    • Deep driven pile, auger cast, and rigid inclusion foundation systems.
    • Precast concrete erection, double-T structural support systems, and tilt-wall panels.
    • Structural concrete flatwork for major equipment pads, heavy haul pathways, and utility corridors.
  • Oversee staging, rigging, material flows, and delivery logistics for long-lead items (generators, switchgear, chillers, precast elements) to maintain continuous jobsite progress.
  • Manage and drive prompt closeout of RFIs, submittals, quality control inspections, pre-commissioning readiness, and punch lists.

Safety & Compliance

  • Foster and enforce a Zero-Injury Safety Culture, ensuring all field operations comply strictly with OSHA, company, and client-specific safety standards.
  • Conduct regular daily safety walk-throughs, toolbox talks, hazard analyses, and corrective follow-ups.
  • Maintain site security, access control, housekeeping, and environmental compliance across the Silverton jobsite.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Directors, and Executive Leadership regarding progress, risk mitigation, and field-driven change management.
  • Lead and participate in daily subcontractor coordination meetings, weekly owner updates, site safety briefings, and commissioning milestones.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive field leadership in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction, with at least 5 years as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale, high-value projects ($50M+ required; $100M+ data center campus experience preferred).
  • Proven experience overseeing data centers, hyperscale facilities, mission-critical infrastructure, or high-density industrial builds.
  • Deep technical knowledge of heavy foundation systems, precast concrete erection, structural steel, civil utility corridors, and heavy equipment logistics.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in construction scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, or similar project management platforms.
  • Advanced ability to read, interpret, audit, and enforce complex construction drawings, specifications, MEP coordination models, and contract documents.
  • Proven leadership, communication, team-building, and conflict-resolution capabilities in high-pressure field environments.
  • Strong expertise in managing site logistics, crane/rigging operations, and material staging for fast-tracked developments.

Certifications

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (Required).
  • First Aid / CPR / AED Certification (Required).
  • Rigging & Signaling, Trenching/Excavation Competent Person, or QMS certifications preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Location: Site-based at the jobsite trailer complex in Silverton, TX (Relocation or dedicated extended project assignment required).
  • Schedule: Standard work schedule is 5–6 days per week, with periodic 7-day shifts during critical concrete pours, precast erection, or commissioning phases.
