At Eye Clinic of Wisconsin, our Ophthalmic Technicians play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care. Working alongside our physicians, you'll guide patients through their eye care journey while utilizing advanced technology and developing specialized clinical skills in a growing healthcare field.
What You'll Do
As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will:
- Collect and accurately document patient health histories, medications, and clinical information
- Perform visual acuity screenings, glaucoma testing, and other diagnostic eye tests
- Conduct refractions to help determine patients' eyeglass prescriptions
- Complete lens prescriptions, medication forms, and patient instruction forms
- Deliver compassionate, personalized care throughout the patient experience
Qualifications
- Passion for patient care and outstanding customer service
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with technology and electronic medical records
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Previous ophthalmology, optometry, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required
Compensation: Starting pay $18.50 - $20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
