Floor Tech - Hospital Environmental Services

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Full time, 7:00am-3:30pm, plus rotating weekends
Type: 3-month contract position through Clean2TheKore. Do great work and you could be hired on permanently by the hospital.

Keep a busy Asheville hospital's floors clean, safe and shining. You'll care for hard floors and carpet throughout the hospital and help the housekeeping team when needed.

What you'll do

• Dust mop, mop, strip, refinish and burnish hard floors
• Run floor equipment: vacuums, burnishers, auto scrubbers, wet vacs and carpet extractors
• Use floor chemicals and pads the right way, with the right PPE
• Put out wet floor signs and keep hallways safe
• Report equipment problems quickly
• Help with general housekeeping duties when needed

What you need

• Floor care experience preferred but not required. We'll consider hard workers who are ready to learn
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Able to work every other weekend
• Comfortable around bodily fluids and willing to wear PPE, including N95 masks
• Flexible when assignments change during the shift
• Background check and 10-panel drug screen (including marijuana) before you start

Health requirements: after your background check and drug screen clear, the hospital completes a TB test, an immunization review (shot records or a simple blood test) and a respirator fit test.
