Seasonal Hair Stylist - 1099

About the Role:
Blo Blow Dry Bar in La Mesa, CA is looking for a talented Seasonal Hair Stylist to join our team for an exciting, fast-paced season of flawless blowouts! If you're passionate about hair styling and thrive in a fun, beauty-forward environment, this 1099 contract opportunity is the perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality blow dry and blowout services to clients in a timely and professional manner
• Consult with clients to understand their desired style and recommend appropriate techniques
• Perform a variety of blowout styles including straight, voluminous, beachy waves, and more
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary styling station at all times (according to CA standards)
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive guest experience
• Manage appointment flow efficiently during peak seasonal hours

Requirements:

• Valid California cosmetology license required
• Demonstrated blow dry and blowout experience is a must
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible seasonal schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099)
• Professional, energetic, and team-oriented demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-volume salon environment

The right fit will be able to work Thanksgiving Eve, Saturdays through December, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. After the holidays, we are happy to keep the right fits on board as contractors with the opportunity to become W2 employees as availability opens up.
