General Production Worker

Job Title: General Production Worker $16.50-$18.15/hr

1st and 2nd shift available.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sections of garage doors, including installing bottom seals, end caps, and panels, and ensure panels are properly labeled while working as part of a team.
• Read and interpret orders accurately to complete production tasks according to specifications.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform assembly and finishing work.
• Measure materials accurately using a tape measure and perform basic addition and subtraction for production needs.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching throughout the shift to handle materials and products.
• Lift and move materials as part of a team, including participating in team lifts of up to 100 lbs.
• Clean and organize the work area regularly, including properly storing tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Hand load trucks with finished products without the use of forklifts, ensuring loads are secure and accurate.
• Unload incoming shipments by hand, verify contents against documentation, and complete receipts for all shipments.
• Replenish and transfer materials to production departments to maintain continuous workflow.
• Manage materials by putting away inventory, replenishing products, and tracking materials when they are pulled from stock.
• Use basic Excel functions to track materials, inventory movements, and other required information.
• Communicate with suppliers as needed to support material management and inventory control.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas, including emptying dumpsters daily and disposing of waste properly.
• Perform assembly work related to windows, including installing windows into panels as required.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 13 months of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition and subtraction, in a production setting.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner.
• Capability to perform physical work, including bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to participate in team lifts of up to 100 lbs safely.
• Ability to read and understand production orders and follow written instructions.
• Comfort working in a general production, assembly line, or general labor environment.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Excel for tracking materials and inventory.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate with others on the production floor.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area and follow housekeeping standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsport, PA.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.15/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
