Certified Medical Assistant {178140}

We are seeking a qualified and dependable Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA/CMA) to join our clinical team. The Medical Assistant will work under the direct supervision of physicians and clinical staff to provide quality patient care, assist with examinations and procedures, maintain patient records, and support daily clinical operations.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00/hr DOE

Job Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and treatment areas.
• Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms and maintain adequate supplies.
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and medical procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect blood specimens as needed.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by authorized clinical personnel.
• Perform EKGs.
• Maintain proper cleaning, disinfection, and infection-control procedures.
• Respond to patient phone calls and communicate concerns to physicians, nurses, or pharmacists.
• Call in prescriptions and communicate patient instructions as directed.
• Schedule diagnostic tests, procedures, follow-up appointments, and hospital admissions.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and pre-certifications as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records.
• Enter orders under provider direction and supervision.
• Perform administrative duties, including filing, faxing, answering phones, and scheduling.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable clinical safety guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CCMA or CMA certification REQUIRED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Weekends off
