Medical Assistant

Winnsboro Health Services is growing and seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patients in our primary clinic location. We believe in Quality, not Quantity when it comes to patient care. This role provides in-person clinical support, working closely with providers and reporting to the clinical supervisor. The position uses athenaOne to support accurate documentation and efficient patient care.

Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No travel is required. Structured onboarding and mentorship with senior clinical staff are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs by phone and in person
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff
• Provide appropriate guidance and patient education
• Coordinate care among patients, providers, and departments
• Document patient interactions and clinical findings accurately
• Maintain accurate records using athenaOne and other EHR systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of medical assisting experience
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
• Patient assessment skills
• Clinical documentation skills
• Strong critical-thinking abilities
• Effective communication skills
