Location: Houston, TX (On-site)

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring Patient Escorts to support patient transport services at a major medical campus in Houston, TX. This is a full-time opportunity (offers will be full-time only) and interviews are virtual.

What you’ll do:

• Escort hospital and ambulatory patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or hydraulic stretcher to appointments and destinations.
• Sanitize wheelchairs prior to each patient using the high-touch disinfection/inspection protocol.
• Complete daily disinfection & tracking logs for each escorted patient (date/time, equipment, disinfectant used, destination, etc.).
• Assist patients on/off equipment using the required checklist and safety steps.
• Provide courteous, compassionate, professional customer service to patients and caregivers.
• Navigate a large campus independently and follow directions at all times.

Schedule (Full-Time openings):

• 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (1 opening)
• 11:45 AM – 8:15 PM (1 opening)
• Rotating weekends and some holidays may be required.

Training requirement:
All new hires must complete training on a Monday–Friday daytime schedule for up to three weeks (or until training is successfully completed). This applies regardless of the shift offered.

Requirements:

• High school diploma (required)
• 1+ year patient care or patient escort experience (preferred in a hospital setting) plus strong customer service experience
• Ability to safely push patients via wheelchair/stretcher (role is labor-intensive; must be comfortable pushing 200–250 lbs)
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must

Additional details to know:

• May be asked to assist at alternate locations outside the main campus as coverage expands.
• Parking is at the contractor’s expense.
• Clinical onboarding requirements apply due to close patient contact.
• Uniform/dress code applies (details shared during onboarding).
