Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days: 0645–1915 / Nights: 1845–0715) | Onsite | Block scheduling available | Every other weekend and every other holiday expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric and postpartum patients in an LDRP setting, including management of common diagnoses such as hypertension and gestational diabetes
• Independently read and interpret fetal monitoring strips using the EFM system (TraceView/PIP) and Philips telemetry monitors
• Titrate drips including pitocin, insulin, and magnesium per physician orders and AWHONN ratio guidelines (1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips; 1:3 for couplet care)
• Float to Med/Surg and Emergency Department as needed based on staffing requirements
• Collaborate with CNAs and charge nurses to ensure safe patient care, including ambulation, transfers, and adherence to quality metrics
• Maintain competency with RT equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow) for troubleshooting purposes; document in Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to independently read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Experience titrating drips in an obstetric or acute care setting
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS, NRP, and/or STABLE certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and TraceView/PIP EFM systems
• Experience with couplet care and high-acuity obstetric patients
