Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery (LDRP Float)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0645–1915 / 1845–0715) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric and postpartum patients across a combined LDRP unit, including couplet care at a 1:3 ratio
• Manage and titrate drips including pitocin, insulin, and magnesium; maintain 1:1 ratios for patients on pit, mag, or insulin drips
• Read and independently interpret fetal monitor strips using the Traceview/PIP EFM system and Philips monitors
• Care for a patient population that includes obstetric and neonatal patients with diagnoses such as hypertension and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)
• Float to Med/Surg and the Emergency Department as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document and manage patient care using the Meditech EMR system while adhering to AWHONN staffing guidelines and facility quality metrics

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Dakota or a compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret fetal monitor strips
• Experience titrating drips in an obstetric setting
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills; ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
