Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | One holiday time-off request accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry unit, adhering to assigned patient ratios
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patients requiring cardiac surveillance
• Float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Participate in a self-scheduling environment while remaining flexible to fill open shifts based on unit needs
• Adhere to all unit protocols, safety standards, and patient care guidelines during day shift hours

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience required
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend and every other holiday
• Expected 72 hours biweekly; on-call hours are not counted toward this expectation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Telemetry setting with demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
• Familiarity with patient ratios in both Med-Surg and Telemetry environments (Med-Surg: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights; Telemetry: 4:1 days, 5:1 nights)
• Strong adaptability and communication skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
