Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Plainview, TX | Short Term Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (12:00 PM – 12:00 AM) | Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting within a Level IV Trauma Center
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4
• Adhere to block scheduling requirements for the duration of the assignment
• Participate in weekend shifts as needed
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including required certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and TNCC
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Must submit 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (may include Charge RNs or Leads)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard travel candidate (locals may be considered under separate terms)
• Block scheduling is required — all RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a trauma center or acute care emergency department setting
• Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes and block scheduling
• Experience working in smaller or critical access hospital environments
