Job Title

RN – Emergency Room / Med Surg

Location

Sabetha, KS | Critical Access Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (5 AM – 5 PM) | Every 3rd Weekend | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across both the Emergency Room and Med Surg units within a small rural Critical Access Hospital setting
• Collaborate with a small, team-oriented nursing staff to manage inpatient and ER workload based on experience and patient needs
• Deliver care to an average inpatient census of 3–5 patients, with occasional census of 7–8
• Work alongside CNAs, LPNs, and an on-call crisis nurse available for additional support during night shifts
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Documented ER and Med Surg experience must be reflected in work history
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• PALS, NRP, and TNCC required — must be current or have classes scheduled prior to submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a rural or Critical Access Hospital environment
• Comfort working in a small, cross-functional nursing team with a varied patient population
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
