Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP Float)

Williston, ND | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric and neonatal patients in an LDRP setting, including those with hypertension, gestational diabetes, and other obstetric diagnoses
• Read and interpret fetal monitor strips independently using the Traceview/PIP EFM system and Philips telemetry monitors
• Titrate drips including pitocin, insulin, and magnesium, adhering to AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines (1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips; 1:3 for couplet care)
• Float to Med/Surg and the Emergency Department as needed based on hospital staffing requirements
• Collaborate with charge nurses and CNAs to support patient transfers, ambulation, and unit operations within a locked unit environment
• Document and manage patient care using the Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure eligible for practice in North Dakota
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to independently read and interpret fetal monitor strips
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past 12 months are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR and Philips monitoring systems
