Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift / 13 Weeks)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: November 2, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of 5–6:1
• Utilize general Med/Surg equipment including bladder scanner and EKG monitoring
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Perform telemetry monitoring as a core component of patient care delivery
• Float to other Med/Surg and telemetry units as needed
• Participate in weekend rotation, with an expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact equivalent) valid in the state of Texas
• BLS certification required
• Telemetry experience required — candidates without this skill will not be considered
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Phlebotomy experience
• ACLS certification
• Strong self-initiative, teamwork orientation, and excellent patient experience skills
