This opportunity supports emergency department care in a regional referral center with day and night physician coverage, approximately 49,500 annual visits, and specialty support across multiple services.

• Physician Shifts: 06:00–16:00, 10:00–20:00, 16:00–02:00, and 20:00–06:00

Clinical Scope

• Emergency medicine evaluation and treatment in a regional referral center
• Emergency department care supported by Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, and Gastroenterology
• Approximately 49,500 annual emergency department visits
• Emergency Medicine practice for physicians with residency training and/or continuous Emergency Medicine practice experience

Practice Environment

• Regional referral center serving the Rio Grande Valley
• Cerner EMR
• Specialty support from Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, and Gastroenterology

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain
• Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Emergency Medicine residency of at least three years
• ABEM or ABOEM board certification or eligibility
• DEA Registration
• Controlled Substance Registration
• Emergency Medicine residency training and/or continuous Emergency Medicine practice experience

• IMLC accepted
