You’ll work closely with classroom teachers and specialists to deliver individualized support, engagement, and care to students across a range of behaviors and needs—including support with daily living activities such as toileting and feeding.

Key Qualifications:

• Ed Tech I, II, or III certification from Maine DOE
• CHRC (Fingerprinting Approval) required
• SafetyCare Certification (training provided, if needed)
• Experience as a Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher, Behavior Specialist, ABA Therapist, or Instructional Assistant strongly preferred
• Commitment to supporting a diverse population of students

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and classroom support for students with special needs
• Assist with academic, behavioral, and emotional interventions under staff direction
• Encourage positive communication and skill development in students
• Support students with personal care routines as needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and school teams
• Maintain documentation and progress notes per program requirements
