School Psychologist in Ionia, MI

Two contract opportunities are now available for dedicated School Psychologists to serve students across multiple school settings in a supportive educational environment near Ionia, MI. The roles begin November 16, 2026, with assignments running through early June 2027. As a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, you’ll empower students and collaborate with educators to provide meaningful intervention and consultative support.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations for referred students across assigned campuses
• Prepare thorough, detailed evaluation reports to support student programming
• Provide ongoing consultative support to general and special education staff
• Recommend and guide the implementation of research-based interventions to improve student outcomes
• Assist in developing and refining programming recommendations for students in or being considered for special education services
• Work collaboratively to ensure the best possible educational experiences for a diverse K–12 caseload (fewer than 102 students on average)
• For the Lakewood/Freedom Acres assignment, also assist existing school psychologists serving Ionia as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
• Current Michigan Department of Education (MDE)-approved School Psychologist credential
• State-qualified to perform special education evaluations
• Strong understanding of child development and curriculum, community agencies a plus
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster positive relationships

Assignments and Locations:

• Portland area schools: November 16, 2026 – June 4, 2027
• Lakewood, Freedom Acres, and Ionia schools: November 16, 2026 – June 10, 2027
