This community-based healthcare facility provides emergency, inpatient, surgical, and outpatient services to the surrounding patient population. The 87-bed hospital maintains established clinical protocols and the infrastructure necessary to support locum tenens clinicians during all assigned coverage periods. Resources are in place to facilitate quality patient care delivery across all assigned shifts.

Norton offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and recreational opportunities suited to varied interests. The area features over 100 miles of non-motorized trails, with options for mountain biking, hiking, fishing, paddling, and rock climbing at destinations such as Flag Rock Recreation Area and the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests' Clinch Ranger District. Additional activities include water recreation at the Norton Upper Reservoir, ATV riding on the Spearhead Trails, and drive-in cinema options within close proximity, providing diverse leisure options during time away from clinical duties.

The Emergency Medicine Physician Associate will provide locum tenens clinical coverage during day and night shifts at this on-site emergency department, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries. Clinicians will perform emergency procedures as clinically indicated and coordinate patient care throughout each assigned shift. No call responsibilities are associated with this position. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment.
