Teacher's Aide - Camden, Maine

This contract position offers the chance to work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing dedicated 1:1 assistance as an Ed Tech III. You’ll help a 4-year-old student reach their fullest potential by implementing Special Education and IEP services, delivering specialized interventions in close collaboration with a supportive school team.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Ed Tech III certification required (completed Ed Tech program, at least 90 credit hours, and CHRC background check)
• Experience in a school or early childhood setting preferred
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education supports
• Patience, compassion, and commitment to quality education
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a preschool student in alignment with their IEP
• Assist with creating and executing interventions tailored to the student’s needs
• Collaborate with special education staff and classroom teachers
• Maintain documentation, track progress, and communicate with the educational team
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
• Support daily classroom activities and help promote positive student behaviors
