THE ROLE

You will lead strategic client engagements focused on the delivery and modernization of banking integration platforms and API-enabled solutions. Acting as the primary point of accountability for client outcomes, you will oversee complex integration initiatives that connect core banking systems, digital channels, payment platforms, fintech partners, and enterprise applications.

This role is ideal for a consulting leader who combines strong engagement management capabilities with a solid understanding of API ecosystems, banking technology platforms, and enterprise integration strategies. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product teams, and engineering organizations to ensure successful delivery of integration programs that improve scalability, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own end-to-end engagement delivery for banking API and integration programs, ensuring successful execution, governance, and business outcomes
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for client executives, technology leaders, product owners, and key stakeholders
• Develop engagement roadmaps, delivery plans, and integration strategies aligned with client business objectives
• Lead governance forums, steering committees, status reviews, risk management discussions, and executive communications
• Drive coordination across business, architecture, engineering, QA, security, and third-party vendor teams
• Oversee implementation of APIs supporting digital banking, payments, customer onboarding, account servicing, lending, and partner integrations
• Ensure API delivery aligns with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and regulatory standards
• Monitor program KPIs, delivery metrics, and integration performance indicators to drive successful outcomes
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks, technical dependencies, and integration challenges throughout the project lifecycle
• Support modernization initiatives involving microservices, cloud-based integration platforms, and API management technologies
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams while mentoring consultants, project managers, and technical leads

WHAT YOU BRING

Must Haves

• 5–7+ years of experience in engagement management, consulting, program delivery, or client leadership within banking or financial services
• Experience leading enterprise API, middleware, integration, or digital transformation initiatives
• Strong understanding of banking technology ecosystems, including core banking platforms, payment systems, digital channels, and third-party integrations
• Experience managing complex technology programs involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, integration architectures, microservices, event-driven systems, and API lifecycle management
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders
• Experience managing project financials, delivery plans, dependencies, and client expectations

Good to Have

• Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, WSO2, Azure API Management, or AWS API Gateway
• Knowledge of Open Banking, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), embedded finance, or fintech ecosystems
• Familiarity with ISO 20022, ACH, RTP, FedNow, SWIFT, or payment modernization initiatives
• Experience working in Agile, SAFe, or product delivery environments
• Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, AWS, Azure, MuleSoft, or API-related certifications
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and containerized application environments
