Dispatcher

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation activities and ensure timely freight movement. This role serves as the central point of communication between drivers, customers, vendors, and internal leadership teams, helping maintain efficient delivery operations and high service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily driver assignments for pickups, deliveries, and customer shipments.
• Communicate shipment status, scheduling updates, and service requirements with customers and vendors.
• Optimize delivery schedules and route plans to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
• Respond quickly to unexpected transportation challenges, including traffic delays, route changes, and service disruptions.
• Prepare and distribute dispatch reports, transportation paperwork, and operational documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of driver activity, deliveries, pickups, route adjustments, and service timelines.
• Track fleet maintenance needs and assist with scheduling repairs and preventative service.
• Document and assist in resolving customer and vendor concerns.
• Serve as the primary contact for drivers, customers, suppliers, and management regarding transportation-related inquiries.
• Support smooth day-to-day logistics operations through proactive communication and problem-solving.

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of transportation operations, routing, and dispatch processes.
• Proficient with computer systems and data entry.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
