Director of Nursing (DON)

THRYVE of Crestwood is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and oversee all clinical operations within our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong clinical leader with a proven ability to develop nursing teams, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive positive resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all nursing department operations and ensure the delivery of quality resident care.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing supervisors, nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and maintain survey readiness.
• Monitor resident assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and quality measures.
• Oversee infection prevention and control programs.
• Manage nursing department staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and employee performance.
• Lead clinical meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address resident care needs.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective action plans.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Promote a positive nursing culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state nursing home regulations and clinical standards.
• Experience with nursing department management, staffing, survey readiness, and quality improvement.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
