Injection Mold Machine Operator

Job Title: Injection Molding Shift Lead 

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt) 

Location: Conover, NC 

Pay: $19.50 per hour 

Schedule: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; rotating 2-2-3 schedule. 

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled Injection Molding Shift Lead to support daily production operations on night shift. The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge of machine operations, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining production quality and efficiency. This role provides hands-on operational support, serves as a positive example for production employees, and helps ensure safe, consistent, and efficient manufacturing processes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Operate and maintain working knowledge of all production machinery, including machine start-up, shutdown, cooling water controls, and adding blowing agents. 

• Review work orders and production specifications to determine material requirements, spool quantities, pallet types, stacking patterns, and other job details. 

• Load materials into designated bins manually or with the use of a hoist. 

• Access and activate preprogrammed machine instructions through computer controls. 

• Perform required quality control inspections and assist with testing procedures for material and finished-product changes. 

• Troubleshoot and diagnose minor machine and robotic operational issues, responding appropriately to alarms and error messages. 

• Monitor robotic operations and machine controllers for malfunctions or operational concerns. 

• Communicate programming, equipment, and production issues to the supervisor or designated personnel as needed.
