The Greens at Erwin is seeking caring and motivated CNAs to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team, with additional opportunities to support our Shower Team!

In this position, you will primarily serve as a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing essential daily care and assistance to our residents. You will also support our facility's shower team by assisting residents with scheduled showers, bathing, personal hygiene, and grooming needs.

Available Shifts & Schedule

• Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Day Shift / Shower Team

• Shift: Day Shift

• 10-Hour Shifts

• Every Other Weekend Rotation

• Additional Shifts May Be Available Based on Facility Needs

• Primary Assignment: CNA Responsibilities with Additional Shower Team Support

CNA Responsibilities

As a Day Shift Certified Nursing Assistant at The Greens at Erwin, you will:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.

• Support residents with repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and mobility as appropriate.

• Assist RNs and LPNs in providing individualized, resident-centered care.

• Monitor and observe residents, promptly reporting changes in condition or concerns to the nursing team.

• Respond to resident needs and call lights promptly and compassionately.

• Assist residents during meals, activities, and daily routines as needed.

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.

• Follow established infection control practices, safety procedures, and facility policies.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Promote resident comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.

• Work collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional resident care.

Additional Shower Team Responsibilities

In addition to regular CNA duties, this position will also assist with our facility's Shower Team, helping ensure residents receive safe, comfortable, and dignified bathing assistance.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist residents with scheduled showers, bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene according to individualized care plans.

• Help coordinate and complete assigned shower schedules while maintaining flexibility to support overall CNA staffing and resident care needs.

• Provide safe assistance with transfers to and from showers, including the appropriate use of shower chairs, wheelchairs, and mechanical lifts as trained.

• Ensure residents are comfortable, properly covered, and treated with dignity and respect throughout the bathing process.

• Observe and promptly report skin concerns, redness, bruising, irritation, or other changes to licensed nursing staff.

• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary shower rooms and bathing equipment.

• Follow proper infection prevention, sanitation, and resident safety procedures.

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, and personal care following showers.

• Communicate with nursing staff regarding completed showers, resident refusals, or changes in resident needs.

• Document bathing assistance and related care accurately according to facility procedures.

• Remain available to assist with general CNA duties and resident care needs as directed by nursing leadership.

Please Note: This is primarily a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position with additional shower team responsibilities. Team members will be expected to assist with all aspects of CNA care based on resident needs, staffing, and facility priorities.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred, but not required.

• Newly Certified CNAs Are Encouraged to Apply – Training Provided!

• Comfortable providing hands-on bathing, showering, and personal hygiene assistance.

• Understanding of resident privacy, dignity, and infection control practices.

• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills.

• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality resident care.

• Ability to work scheduled 10-hour day shifts and every other weekend.

• Willingness to assist with both general CNA assignments and shower team responsibilities.
