CNC Machine Operator needed.

Duties include:
  • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference plans, location of surfaces and machining parameters.
  • Load and unload parts within qualified time given.
  • Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
  • Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometer and dial caliper.
  • Post edits into CNC program to fine tune process for optimum performance; submits changes to supervisor.
  • Report tooling breakage or repairs and need for new tools.
  • Run first piece, inspect first part, consult with quality assurance (supervisor) and inspect work pieces throughout the production run, for out of tolerance machining.
  • Make adjustments (offsets) until part is machined to print
  • Clean and maintain machine, tooling and parts to maintain equipment in optimal production condition.
  • Work safety to prevent on-the-job injuries following all safety regulations.
  • Keep work area, machines, tools and equipment organized and clean and free of oil and grease.
  • Check fluids, including oil and coolant, daily on milling machines.
  • Keep all tooling, inserts and other, items stored in drawers or on work bench organized, labeled and in order.
  • Must be able to distinguish and identify proper tooling, collects, fixtures and jaws for efficient set-up and perform first piece, in process inspection.
  • Hours are 8:00AM - 4:30PM.
