Looking for skilled school bus technician. Tech will be asked to do routine and preventative maintenance on an extensive fleet of diesel powered school buses. Tech will also be asked to assist with frequent DOT inspections.
School Bus Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Routine and preventative maintenance.
- Build, rebuild and repair all parts of automotive equipment, as may be required in the department assigned to.
- Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, other breakdown or failure.
- Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the components parts and systems.
- Engine repair and overhaul.
- Inspect equipment used
- Read precision instruments.
- Micrometers, dial indicators, bored gauges, etc.
- When applicable use welding skills.
- Other duties may be assigned
