The Communications Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring the effectiveness of internal communications strategies and programs. It is essential that employees understand the company's vision, values, business plans, and employee value proposition. Keys to success will be building and nurturing effective working relationships with the executives, managers, and employees. Through effective written and oral communications and promotional activities, this individual will advance employee engagement, communicate executive messages, build community and drive cultural and business priorities in a way that creates excitement among employees and the community.

Requirements
*Bachelor's degree
*Superior writing and communications skills
*Ability to manage a number of programs/projects simultaneously
*Energetic self-starter; willing to take initiative with confidence.
*Must be creative, persuasive and diplomatic in presenting ideas and managing their implementation

Responsibilities
*Identify opportunities for the effective use of corporate meetings, video, electronic media and print publications and facilitate their production when employed.
*Drive mission, strategy, culture and brand deeply into employee base.
*Create and implement ongoing strategic metrics, both qualitative and quantitative, to measure success.
*Generate story ideas, write content and manage deadlines for the employee monthly newsletter.
*Edit company internal communications - memos, letters, etc.
*Document and archive company history and employee activity
*Complete applications, apply and maintain records for industry and community awards
*Manage social media channels
*Work with external public relations firm to generate press releases and communication strategies

Qualifications
*Proven track record of delivering impactful internal communications, including message development, communications planning, and tailoring communications for different audiences.
*Excellent project management skills and experience coordinating multiple projects at the same time
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to adapt to the audience and nature of information
*Creative writing skills
*Strong proof reading skills and attention to detail
