Good Shepherd Services, a leading NYC non-profit committed to the success of young people and families, is currently seeking Activity Instructors, for our Bushwick Leaders High School for Academic Excellence Program in Brooklyn.
The Activity Instructor provides recreational/educational workshops for: Art, Boxing, Dance, Drama, Martial Arts, and Music, as well as activities as an avenue for self-development and expression through enrichment/project based curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*High School Diploma or GED required.
*Some college and experience with adolescents preferred.
*Experience and/or training relevant to the position required.
*Must be able to engage young people and set structure and limits in a group setting.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based, youth and family development and trauma-informed perspective.
